About Me

I have more than 30 years of professional experience working with organisations and communities in Europe and America on a variety of issues facing the voluntary sector. My strengths are in communications, strategy, practice-based research, evaluation, training and organisational development.

I have spent the last 15 years in London working as a sole trader with an emphasis on community development, project management, practice-based research, equalities, evaluation, volunteer management and organisational development. I am currently also an NCVO Associate Consultant and a Big Local Representative and Plan Assessor for Local Trust.

Before moving to London I was the Regional Manager of Outreach and Training at Chesapeake Bay Foundation in the US from 1992-2002. I have excellent educational qualifications including an MSc in Voluntary Sector Organisation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2003) and a BA in Political Science from Rhode Island College, USA (1992).
